Birdipedia
Birdipedia is an iOS app built to make bird identification feel effortless and intuitive. It brings together on-device machine learning and a clean, responsive interface to turn a moment of curiosity into instant understanding.
Built using SwiftUI, CoreML, Vision, and Core Image, Birdipedia was developed in 20 days with a focus on clarity, speed, and simplicity.
The idea was straightforward: see a bird, take a photo, and know what it is. No friction, no complexity. Just a direct path from curiosity to discovery.
The experience is designed to feel natural. Capture an image, get an identification instantly, and explore further if you want to go deeper. Every interaction is shaped to stay out of the way and let the moment lead.
Birdipedia was later featured in the App Store’s Today section as part of Quick Tips From Swift Student Challenge Winners.
